As expected the grant we receive for our transport costs has been dramatically reduced and there are also changes to the grant itself. This will effect all club members who use the escorted minibuses provided by London Community Transport.  All will be explained in a letter being sent to all the club members involved - in short the funding we will receive from Harrow Council in the financial year 2015/16 will be 5,000 short of what the transport costs will actually be, we will therefore have to charge all the club members who use this service to make up the shortfall.

Former club member Alzeena Bhanji died last month aged just 42. She joined Tanglewood in November 2012 but 15 months ago she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She managed to attend Tanglewood up to last August but stopped attending when she was admitted to a Nursing Home. Her sister tells me that Alzeena, pictured, really loved our club and really looked forward to her Monday evenings, she also asked me to thank everyone at club for making Alzeena's time there full of fun. On behalf of everyone at club I pass on my sincere condolences to the family

Karen attended Harrow Boro's last home league game of the season on Saturday and took her Sponsored walk form with her. Thanks to the generosity of the clubs directors, officials and supporters she collected a total 112.50. Karen, pictured proudly wearing her Harrow Boro shirt, also brought the team luck - in a "must win" game the Boro beat Kingstonian 2-0 and as a result moved further away from the relegation zone. Barring a heavy defeat in their last match next week, they should be safely playing in the Ryman premier league again next season

On the bank holiday Monday of May 25th we have hired the athletics track at Harrow School to enable us to organise a sponsored walk and we would like YOU to take part - All you have to do is to walk 5 km's (approx 12 laps of the running track) - easy, Oh yes you will also have to obtain sponsors. Click on the "activities" link above for more details and the sponsor form.  All the money raised will be used to finance our 50th anniversary celebrations later in the year. It is worth taking part just to see the wonderful surroundings at the world famous school facilities
